3. Give them one thing they want in today’s scene.
4. Add a small surprise that changes their plan.

Build a cast that works together

Two characters with different goals are often enough for an interesting scene. One wants a quiet afternoon; the other wants to host a party. Neither needs to be a villain. Let them solve the mismatch together.

Use your own fictional names and details. There is no need to enter a real child’s identity, appearance or personal information into a website to plan a character.
